Women across America were finally given what they had demanded for. They had gained the ability to vote. They were viewed as equals throughout the work industry. When a third wave of feminism broke out, this time the focus was on changing the way females were portrayed in the eyes of the public media. Much time was spent breaking down gender stereotypes, changing the language used to describe women, and redefining femininity.
